Hello all!
Just wanted to update you on the republication of The Andromeda's Ghost. I found an amazing cover artist who was also willing to do miniature illustrations for the start of every chapter (concept art style). We worked together to make an absolutely beautiful cover, and a fresh new interior look that I'm obsessed with. Everything came together perfectly and I submitted everything right before the deadline appointed by KDP (must submit within 72 hours of publication date in order for the book to be ready for purchase).
Unfortunately, I checked a box that shouldn't have been checked while I was setting up the print version of the book so KDP denied it. I've fixed the issue but it still may take up to 72 hours for the print book to be available for purchase through Amazon. I also found out this morning that the print book is not available on my other publishing platform, Draft2Digital, because their rules are slightly different. Reading the fine print, I realized that it may take up to a week before the print book is available at their distributors.
A moment of silence for my best laid plans.....
I've gone through all the stages of grieving this morning, including the stage of self-loathing because I should know better by now! This isn't my first rodeo! I've self-published ten books already! I absolutely hate that I made such a dumb mistake and ruined everything. I really wanted my space opera to be available on May 4th in honor of Star Wars day too. While the ebook is available for purchase through all the major retailers, I still feel like my credibility as an author just took a nosedive. Ugh!
I'm really sorry everyone! I will for sure post another announcement when the print book is finally available for purchase. In the meantime, please enjoy the ebook.
Also, a note about the audiobooks: Before my previous publisher, BHC Press, went out of business they produced audiobooks for all three of the books in The Andromeda Chronicles. They switched over the rights for these books to me instead of discontinuing the titles as soon as they closed shop. So these versions of the books are still available through Audible! They will be slightly different than the new edition of the book but the core story is still the same so feel free to check them out if you're into audiobooks over ebooks/paperbacks.
As always, thanks for reading! Thanks for your patience! More news to come.
