Bookish Updates

Updated: Aug 6, 2023

Hello everyone!

Thanksgiving was a busy time for me and my family and I completely neglected to post something here. Sorry about that! I trust that you all had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday and are looking forward to Christmas. And if you're not, I hope you can find a moment of peace and quiet before the year's over.

I just have two bits of news to share concerning my books, chief among them being that I'm going to get the rights back for my two ebooks, Asta and the Barbarians and In the Dark.

As some of you may know, these books have been under contract with Tirgearr Publishing for the past five years. Come January, their contracts will be up. While I've enjoyed my time with the company and have learned SO much from them, it's time to separate. Republishing is a daunting task. These books have been around long enough to have gathered a good number of reviews. Persuading people to re-read and re-post reviews doesn't sound like fun, but the potential for new reviews from new fans is always encouraging. And I'm looking forward to giving these two adventures a make over (inside and out!). I'll be self-publishing them on multiple platforms as ebooks AND paperbacks. Just so you're all aware, after my rights are returned, both books will be taken off the market. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to "remake" them. On my check list of books I need to write, Asta and the Barbarians comes after the last novella in the "Chosen by the Masters" series and before the long-awaited sequel, Asta Among the Chosen. In the Dark will probably make a comeback after that.

Another bit of news that I'm EXTREMELY excited about, is an advertising opportunity for Jessa and the Lost Goddess. Because it won second place in this year's BookFest Awards under the Romance/Fantasy category, I was offered the chance to advertise on the Nasdaq board in Time Square! Along with other winning titles, Jessa and the Lost Goddess will be displayed on the Nasdaq board at least 100 times during the course of the day on January 20th.

So if you're in the area on that date, check out the Nasdaq board! You might see my face or Jessa's or both. ;)

Just as a reminder, I'm always open to gifting free ebook versions of my books to people interested in leaving honest reviews on Goodreads and/or Amazon. Just shoot me a message!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
